ADEY Community Fund Kits out Kettering Town FC U9s

Kettering Town FC (KTFC) under 9 girls’ team is the first to receive funds under the new ADEY Community Fund initiative, with money used to provide wet-weather clothing, and additional training equipment such as bibs, goal cones and footballs.

The ADEY Community Fund is open to all ADEY employees who can nominate a local community group of their choice to be awarded with a small grant to help them achieve their aims and support their local community. Grants are available to be used to support with small purchases (such as sport kit or equipment or white goods), events and activities or towards capital works (such as fixing a roof).

Amanda Arrowsmith, ADEY’s Director of Corporate Services, explains “The ADEY Community Fund was designed to enable us to give back to the surrounding communities, and our colleagues understand what’s needed in their communities better than anyone. We asked our team to nominate a group or project local to them that would benefit from one of our grants and we are so pleased to be in a position to offer such support. Since launching in January, we have awarded over £2,300 in grants and it’s great to see the rewarding use of these grants in the local communities.”

KTFC under 9 girls’ team was created to ensure continued diversity within the Kettering Town community football programme. With the training equipment and kit provided using the grant, the girls will be able to train in all weathers and continue developing their football skills.
