Barbers DNA Spiral.

 Robin has created a striking and pulsating neon spiral inspired by the form of the DNA code. The neon is contained within a glass tube shaped as the Barbers pole referring back to Barbers being historically minor surgeons and how their pole evolved as bloody bandages were wrapped around a pole to dry out and then to be re-used creating a design very similar to the DNA code.

 

The work has since been purchased by the Wellcome Trust for their collection.
